The Native Fish Society boasts a diverse and highly qualified Board of Directors. Members hail from all over Oregon and Washington State and represent a variety of professions and personal backgrounds. Some have pursued careers in fisheries management or environmental work. Others choose to make a difference through volunteerism and activism. Most are avid anglers. And they all share a deep concern for the future of native fish in the Pacific Northwest, and are committed to ensuring that these fish have a future.
Peter Tronquet (President and Treasurer) Peter is a partner in and CFO of Bierson Corporation a manufacturing company located in Medford, Oregon. Peter is active in several fish-focused organizations including The North Umpqua River Steamboaters and the North Umpqua River Foundation and is an avid steelheader.
Kaitlin Lovell (Vice-President) Kaitlin is the manager of the City of Portland's Science, Fish and Wildlife Program (formerly the Endangered Species Act Program), working to restore wild salmon runs in some of the most urban, and most promising, streams in Portland. Prior to working for the city, she was the salmon policy coordinator and an ESA attorney working for Trout Unlimited where she frequently partnered with Native Fish Society on great wild salmon success stories. In her spare time, you can find her restoring the Molalla River (Milk Creek) headwater ecosystem on her farm in Clackamas County, turning over rocks looking for nymphs for her son to explore or taste testing homebrew. As much as she loves working on behalf of wild, native fish with NFS, she hates getting outfished whenever she's on the river with Bakke.
Bill Bakke (Secretary) Bill is not only on the board but is the full-time executive director of the Native Fish Society. A renowned fish conservationist in the Pacific Northwest, Bill is also an adept angler and especially likes chasing steelhead with a fly rod.
Patrick Furrer Pat is an attorney practicing in Southwest Portland and a founder of Native Fish Society. In his free time you can find him on a golf course or on a river.
Lisa Hansen Lisa is a registered nurse and Bone Marrow Transplant Program Specialist at a Portland hospital. She enjoys working out, gardening and wine tasting. She can often be found steelheading on rivers throughout the Northwest.
Jon Kellogg Jon received a BA in History from California State University, Chico but found his calling as a real estate developer. As a member of the Urban Land Institute, Jon is very concerned with land use issues, especially as they concern habitat for wildlife. He lives in Portland and enjoys fishing, skiing and traveling.
Richard Kennon Richard lives in Southwest Washington and is a retired firefighter. He is the founder and co-chair NFS Auction and Banquet and is active in fish conservation in southwest Washington, including serving as a director of the Lower Columbia River Fish Enhancement Group. In his downtime, you can usually find him on the Deschutes River.
Jason Koertge is the president of an advertising and design agency in Portland, Oregon when he's not salmon or steelhead fishing. He believes the protection of wild, native salmonids is our obligation to future generations, and asserts an honest, meaningful connection between these fish and the waters in which they swim is crucial to our Northwest identity.
Tammy Mackey Tammy is a lifetime resident of Southwest Washington and a fish biologist for the US Army Corps of Engineers. She serves as president of Clark County Trout Unlimited. Jim Myron Jim, who lives with his wife Kathleen in Canby, OR, has worked for Oregon Trout, the Oregon Governor’s Office and the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. Jim recently retired from OPRD and now serves, not only on the NFS Board of Directors, but also as the NFS John Day River Steward.

John Tyler John joined the Board of Directors in 2005. He works as environmental policy analysts for Clark County, Washington.
