These sponsors and partners donate their services and other resourcesto support our events, fundraising initiatives and advocacy work. They support our work because they care about native fish.

FishCons

Founded by our own Bill Bakke, FishCons is a coalition of representatives from fish conservation organizations in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Members meet monthly to discuss current issues affecting native fish, and to determine how their organizations can work together to address these challenges. Because there is p ower in numbers, FishCons has been able to create visible and effective publicity campaigns, legal actions, letter writing initiatives and education/outreach projects.

Event Partners

Native Fish Society organizes a variety of fundraising and social events throughout the year, and our sponsors and donating business partners make these activities possible. They provide logistics, preparation, guide services, lodging, auction items, printing, web hosting and more. Because of their generosity, money raised at these events can go directly to native fish conservation -- and for that we greatly appreciate their support.

Fall Steelhead Event

Each autumn as steelhead make their way up the Deschutes River, so does a small but dedicated group of Native Fish Society members. This annual fishing party is made possible by the following donors, who generously offer free guide services and lodging:

John Hazel & Company: JHC guides are full-time fly fishing professionals, excellent boat handlers, superb casting instructors, knowledgeable anglers, enthusiastic personalities, and generally fun people to be around. http://www.deschutesangler.com/asp/guideservice.as

Brian Silvey: Brian donates his boat, time, Spey casting prowess and - most importantly - his impressive knowledge of the Deschutes River and its fish. His guiding and fishing abilities are well known among Northwest anglers. http://www.silveysflyfishing.com

Imperial River Company: This cozy lodge on the banks of the Deschutes hosts our fishermen and women during the event, and feeds them a delicious gourmet dinner. http://www.emilive.com/portals/230/tour/1709/0.html

Auction & Banquet

Each spring NFS hosts our Auction & Banquet, a fun event that draws hundreds of supporters. Without our generous sponsors, and the businesses that donated auction items, this event simply would not happen. Please visit these businesses on the web and in person, and thank them for their generous support of native fish.
